The top priority of every Sphinx CrossFit coach is athlete safety. We are sticklers for proper form. Our charter is mechanics, consistency, then intensity.

  • Our coaches live by CrossFit, are passionate about coaching, and obsessed with making the lives of members better in all ways
  • We want things done correctly before going fast and heavy
  • We get to know your needs, medical history, and nutrition situation and personalize your goals accordingly
  • We check in regularly to see how things are going – if you miss a few classes, we call or email to see what’s up

Years of thought went into creating this box. We pride ourselves on offering the most well-equipped and cleanest facility in Southwest Florida.

  • We have over 3,000 square feet of space in a nice retail location instead of a garage style industrial space
  • We have 4 bathrooms and 4 showers (2 for women and 2 for men), including a vanity area with a large mirror, electric outlets and cubby storage

  • Retail area with a full line of supplements, drinks, shirts, hats, wrist wraps, jump ropes, gloves, weight lifting belts, and gymnastic grips

  • Two 60’ flat screen TVs where we utilize Zen Planner to track members workouts and give them the tools they need to visualize their results, goals, and progress

I want to make it abundantly clear who I am, what I believe and where my passions will take me.

My introduction to CrossFit was in 2005 on San Clemente Island Naval Base during SEAL training. (Class 256) Unfortunately I was injured during SEAL training. With the help of medication from the class Corpsman, and the bond of brothers literally sometimes pushing me through the soft sand, I attempted to hide my injuries for over a month. The physical stress put on my right leg from trying to stay off of my left leg eventually aggravated a pre-existing growth in my right foot and the growth aggressively started growing. At one point, I could barley walk and eventually failed a timed run that c. Due to the the initial injury and the growth that was collateral damage, I was caused a medical review board. I was then honorably medically discharged.

I am a graduate of The University of Central Florida, home of the undefeated and undisputed 2018 College Football National Champions. I’ve worked in sales for a few years and never really found my passion until I started doing CrossFit in 2017. I joined Sphinx, and now I am on board focusing on sales and marketing! I am stoked to be a part of this team!

I have a passion for bringing fitness to people. Nothing feels better than seeing someone break through their own barrier and achieve something they have worked on for so long. My athletic background consists of playing baseball for 13 years and being a state weightlifter in high school. My dad, being a fireman, introduced me to CrossFit in the summer of 2009. Since then, I have had the privilege of traveling to multiple CrossFit competitions and meeting some of the world’s top CrossFit athletes and coaches, including Coach Greg Gassman (founder of CrossFit). I am beyond blessed to be The Head Coach at Sphinx CrossFit.

I am a Level 1 CrossFit instructor. I am a senior studying Entrepreneurship at Florida Gulf Coast University. I have been involved in sports since I was a kid and I passionately believe that fitness can change people’s lives. My goal is to help inspire people to make lasting lifestyle changes. I believe that CrossFit is the answer for anyone at any level of fitness. My passion for coaching and fitness is exhibited through my energy in and out of the gym.

I have been doing CrossFit for a little over a year now. I got into CrossFit because I wanted to be part of a community that cared about my wellbeing and would be with me through every stage of my life. Not just at Sphinx but in every other CrossFit gym that I have been to I have always been welcomed and treated as if I was their own. I have also become serious with weightlifting and have competed in a few small meets with the plans of competing at junior nationals in 2019. By doing CrossFit I’ve realized that I wanted to help other people reach their goals just like how I have reached mine. Whether it is to lose a few pounds to look good for the summer or to simply workout and be happy. I want to be part of your journey by making that happen.

For a good portion of my childhood I did martial arts, it wasn’t until I went to high school when I started to break out and involve myself in different sports like football, wrestling, and weightlifting, to which I realized I had much more potential and stuck with it. I started my weightlifting journey in 2009 through an invite to the gym from a friend and it started a tireless adventure to where I am today. In 2014 I registered as a USAW athlete and began to compete in any competition I found. My respect for weightlifting and drive for each and every one of my goals is so far from over and I want to inspire every member at Sphinx and each and every individual that looks in on us to push themselves to obtain each of their own goals as well.

I am a sophomore at FGCU. As well has having a passion for the game of golf, I have a passion for fitness as well. I started CrossFit as a freshman in high school, working out with my dad at 5:30 every morning just to get into shape. From there, I grew to love the community aspect and group structure of the CrossFit classes. I competed in several CrossFit competitions, my most notable one was when I placed top 100 in the world for the 18 and under division in the 2015 CrossFit Open. I started my teaching as a senior in high school and continued all freshman year at Sphinx CrossFit, and completed my Level 1 CrossFit certification in January 2016. I have taught kids classes, adult classes, and personal 1 on 1 classes. I also program my own workouts. Now I want to see if I can incorporate my two passions, golf and CrossFit, into one.
